Winter snow advisory issued
December 16, 2017
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in North Idaho for snow and slick conditions, in effect from 10 a.m. Sunday through 10 a.m. Monday. Two to four inches of fresh snow are forecast for the valleys; higher elevations could see up to eight inches.

Light snow is forecast to begin falling Sunday morning and continue throughout the day, then transition to a rain/snow mix Sunday night at elevations below 3,000 feet.

Road conditions are expected to deteriorate Sunday night and through the Monday commute, with a nasty mix of snow, slush and ice. Travelers heading over area passes are advised to check conditions before setting out.
