According to court documents and a release issued by the sheriff's office, a 34-year-old Bonners Ferry man in jail on aggravated battery, theft and drug charges is suspected of punching a four year old boy, identified only as "J.C.," twice in the stomach, causing the child's pancreas to explode.

A $25,000 arrest warrant was issued for Kyle Fuller, 34, on October 19 on a charge off aggravated battery, alleging that sometime between September 22 and 24, within Boundary County, he hit the boy twice, causing injuries so severe the child had to be transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, for emergency surgery.

Fuller was also charged with felony theft after he pawned a motorcycle at Woody's Pawn & Gun, Bonners Ferry, on October 14. Pawn owner Kyle Watts asked the sheriff's office to run a VIN inspection on the 1985 Honda 100R dirt bike on October 18, and it returned as stolen out of Ponderay, Idaho.

The motorcycle was handed over to Ponderay police to be returned to its rightful owner, and deputies and Bonners Ferry Police officers returned to Woody's the next day, October 19, when Fuller was reported to have returned to the shop to pawn some DVDs.

When asked if he'd pawned the motorcycle, Fuller allegedly told deputies he hadn't, but he recanted a short time later and was placed under arrest for possession of stolen property. Fuller was frisked by police, who allegedly found a quantity of methamphetamines, which, Fuller said, wasn't his, as he'd merely found it on the sidewalk on his way to the pawn shop.

Fuller was booked into Boundary County Jail on the three felony charges, where he is being held on $125,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set before Judge Justin Julian at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 3.
