Big job fair in Post Falls Wednesday

The Fall Job Fair organized by the Idaho Department of Labor will have more than 50 employers ready to fill nearly 1,500 positions. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, at Real Life Ministries, N1866 Cecil Road, Post Falls.

Employers continue to add jobs as the economy remains strong. Businesses registered for the event report almost twice as many openings as last year.

While health care, manufacturing and service industries continue to see the highest demand, there are a range of jobs in all jobs sectors and at all skill levels. Openings vary from entry level to senior management and full-time to seasonal.

Employers from northern Idaho and the Spokane area are expected to attend the event, including Silver Mountain, Provisional Recruiting & Staffing, Associated Builders and Contractors, Dave Smith Motors, Idaho State Police, Humanix, Buck Knives, Shopko, Northern Quest Resort and Casino, Aerotek, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, SPi CRM, Skils’kin, ResCare, Charter Communications, Kootenai County, Integrated Personnel, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Aaging Better, Inclusions Inc., Embassy Management, Inland Imaging, Nuvodia, Country Lock & Key, Kootenai Health, Remain at Home, Family Home Care, Secure Investments, Express Employment, North Idaho Higher Education, Garden Plaza, Parker Toyota, Wellspring Meadows Assisted Living, US Bank, Aerocet, Qualfon, Ultra Lawn, Addus Homecare, AES, Coeur d’Alene Casino, Comfort Keepers, Community Connections Inc., Generations Assisted Living, Jackson Hewitt, Life Care Centers, Lowe’s, New Horizons Computer Learning Center, Orgill, Wendy’s, The Kroc Center, Manpower, Kootenai Humane Society and Access Home Care.

The event is free to attend. Job applicants are encouraged to bring a resume, dress to meet potential employers and be prepared to speak directly with company recruiters and human resources personnel.
