Freeze warning issued for Saturday morning
September 16, 2017
What happened to fall?! The National Weather Service has issued the first freeze warning of the season for North Idaho and northeastern Washington, predicting that thermometers at lower elevations will be dipping into the upper 20s Saturday morning.

The freeze warning is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Saturday. The freeze could last long enough to kill or seriously damage flowers, gardens and crops. Those with plants in containers should bring them in tonight, those with outdoor plants you want to last a little longer should cover or otherwise protect them until tomorrow's morning chill ends.

Tomorrow's high should reach 67-degrees under hazy skies, the clouds roll in Sunday, when the high is expected to reach 69, then cooler temperatures in the upper 50s and long-awaited rains prevail through Thursday.
