“The highlight of my military career has been the honor of serving the civilians, soldiers, airmen and families of the Idaho Military Division,” Sayler said. “I’ve been blessed with support from a tremendous community here in Idaho and will always be grateful for that.”

Sayler’s list of command assignments includes Flight Commander, Deputy Commander for Resources, Operations Group Commander, Fighter Group Vice-Commander, Wing Commander and Assistant Adjutant General-Idaho Air National Guard. During his career he flew the T-29, the F-4C/D/E/G, the RF-4C and the C-130E.

He also is director of the Idaho Military Division, which includes the Office of Emergency Management, Public Safety Communications and the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy.
