I90 ramp at Sherman closed through Friday
July 17, 2017
The Sherman Avenue (Exit 15) Interstate 90 eastbound off-ramp will be closed until 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, for reconstruction. This is part of the reconstruction of I-90 from Northwest Boulevard to Sherman. The U.S. 95 (Exit 12), 4th Street (Exit 13), and 15th Street (Exit 14) ramps will be available for use as alternative routes.

Work is scheduled through October 2018 on this $19.8 million Idaho Transportation Department project.

The 15th Street (Exit 14) I-90 eastbound on- and off-ramps will reopen at 2 p.m. Friday, July 14.

Motorists should anticipate increased travel times, speed reductions, and lane shifts. Between 9th and Sherman, I-90 will be reduced to one lane in each direction within the westbound portions of the freeway. Work zone crossovers will be in effect for I-90 eastbound on- and off-ramps at the 15th Street (Exit 14) exit.

The work zone speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph, and travel way lane widths will be reduced to 11 feet, with 15-feet of clear passage.

The project will resurface Interstate 90, increase height clearances between the travel way of I-90 and the numerous overpasses that exist throughout the corridor, and improve traveler safety with new guardrail, signs, and illumination.

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt, of Rathdrum, is the prime contractor.
