More winter weather ahead

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday.

The incoming system could bring three to six inches to valleys and six to eight inches at higher elevations.

Snow will begin Tuesday morning and continue through the evening and overnight hours. Snow will become moderate in intensity during the late afternoon and evening hours.

Roads will be slushy and wet through the afternoon hours. By sunset the snow will begin accumulating on the roads and make travel difficult. Current weather conditions are also conducive to the formation of black ice, particularly in tht early morning and late evening hours.
