More heavy snow possible Wednesday night |

In its latest hazardous weather outlook for
North Idaho and northeast Washington, the
National Weather Service is forecasting another
winter storm capable of producing heavy snow to
begin Wednesday night and last through Thursday.
There is a slight chance of widely scattered
snow showers Tuesday, bringing only slight
accumulations and offering a respite to allow
catching up after our most recent heavy
snowfall.
Light snow is forecast to begin at about 4 p.m.
Wednesday, then pick up after 10 p.m. to bring
an additional two to four inches by the end of
the day. From midnight to 10 a.m. Thursday, up
to three more inches could fall before
temperatures warm and precipitation turns to
rain.
The rain is expected to turn to a rain/snow mix
at about 10 p.m., then to snow as temperatures
drop below freezing.
Afterward, snow showers are likely to continue
off and on through Saturday, but accumulations
are expected to be less than half inch. |
