A Facebook look at Snow Storm 2017
February 6, 2017
All already seem to agree ... this latest storm has brought down the most snow on Boundary County since the big storms of the late 1990s. Fortunately, as of 7 a.m., most of the snowfall has moved off to the south and east.

But round two (three or four?) is on the east side of the Cascades and headed this way, giving but a brief respite and a chance to catch up.

Here is a look at what we woke up to this morning, as posted by local residents on Facebook.
"Just since yesterday morning not sure how much It looks like 16 or 17 inches," Bonners Ferry Street Department Superintendent John Youngwirth posted during a brief break at about 4:30 a.m. "Please just stay home, there is nothing worth getting in an accident! Just drink coffee and look out the window and pray for it to stop! Some should be probably shoveling your roofs or helping others shovel their roofs!"
"I am still feeling yucky, but since the snow has gone crazy I am headed out to shovel," Liz Cada posted. "I am almost convinced that people who love the snow don't have to use a shovel. I will someday own a snowblower."
"Woke up to another 14 inches overnight!" posted Amanda Stuber-Fairchild. "Calling for another 12 today!"
"There is a car under there somewhere," Melody Moore posted.
"Crap, this is the highway," Jennifer Widner posted just before 6 a.m. "Gonna be a long drive."
"Yesterday vs. today!" Kathy Konek posted. "It was not too big of a snowman, but he went into the witness protection program last night."
