Whip up your best pies; hospital auxiliary pie sale coming soon

The ladies of the Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary have sold and served a lot of pie over the years ... this photo is from the February 17, 1977 Bonners Ferry Herald ... 40 years ago!
The famous Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary Pie Sale will be held on Thursday, February 16, this year, in the basement of Trinity Lutheran Church, 6784 Cody Street. You may purchase a whole pie or by the slice. The coffee pot will be on, ready to serve.

There will be many of your favorite pies like lemon meringue, cream and custard, a variety of fruit, and even huckleberry pies.

This year they are expanding to include a few cakes. It’s a good idea to come early, because as you all know, the proverbial early bird gets the — well, in this case, gets to choose from the widest selection of choice pies.

The Pie Sale begins at 9 a.m. and continues until all pies are gone, usually around 1 p.m.

The auxiliary has priced the pies very reasonably, and as always, all funds raised go to support Boundary Community Hospital.

Come and participate, in both the bringing of pies and the eating of the best pies, and cakes, you'll find anywhere, lovingly made by the best bakers and pie makers in the world!

Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary has been supporting the hospital through fund-raising and volunteering since 1955. Call Bev at (208) 267-5355 or Jennifer at (208) 610-0820 for more information.
