Two part snow storm heading in
December 18, 2016
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, to be followed by a winter storm watch in effect from Monday night through Tuesday evening as a pair of winter storms move into the region.

Snow accumulations of one to four inches in the valleys and five to eight inches in the mountains through the day on Monday, with an additional three to six inches in the valleys and six to 14 inches in the mountains Monday night through Tuesday.

Light snow is expected to develop Monday morning, then taper off in late afternoon before starting up again late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon, when warming temperatures in the valleys could turn the snow to rain showers.
