Konyot's death ruled homicide

December 12, 2013
Investigators have determined that the death of 60 year-old Theodore Konyot at his Knik River Road home in Palmer Monday was a homicide, and they're asking anyone who may have information to contact Alaska State Troopers.

A family member found Konyot's body in his home at mile 1.1 at about 8 p.m. December 9, and the Alaska Bureau of Investigation was placed in charge of the case. A marijuana grow was also discovered in the home, involving the State Drug Enforcement Unit in the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information related to Konyot's death or who may have seen or had contact with him between December 7 and December 9 to call investigator Adams at (907) 746-9106. Those who might wish to remain anonymous can instead call Mat-Su Crime Stoppers, (907) 745-3333.
