School district offers to explain M&O

December 6, 2012
Boundary County School District 101 Superintendent Dick Conley extends an invitation to talk with any group or organization that would like additional information on the up-coming Maintenance and Operations levy (M&O) that the School District will be running in March.

The Board and administration is committed to meet and discuss the levy with any group that would like more information.

"The M&O is critical to continuing the current programs that we now offer," Conley said. "As many of you know, the state has reduced funding to schools the past several years and has forced local districts to ask for support from local tax payers."

The Board of Trustees is keeping the M&O at the same rate which means they are not going to increase the amount, which will help in not increasing the local school tax.

They will meet with any organization that would like additional information or to help clarify any information. To make arrangements, call the District Office at (208) 267-3146.
