News Bonners Ferry is saddened to tell of the
passing of Ozzy Osborn, who is reported to have
died in his sleep this morning.
Osborn, who served his country and came home to
serve his community, retired after a career with
the U.S. Forest Service, and was quietly active
in Boundary County to the end of his life.
He was stalwart in American Legion Post 55,
active in his church, always doing the important
behind-the-scenes work that needed to be done so
that those in attendance at the many events he
assisted with seemed to spectators effortless.
He was the man who attended to the myriad
details, through rain, shine or snow. He was
always there.
