Questions if Boundary County timber money
should go to Washington, D.C. |

To the Editor:
Regarding the mention in your article on the
federal government compensating Boundary County
for revenue the government gains from Boundary
County timber sales:
Wouldn't it be better if it never went to D.C.
in the first place? I mean we send dollars
to them, they take their cut, and then decide
who gets what.
I would rather we keep OUR money and decide
where WE want to spend it. We have become so
conditioned to the status quo that we are
excited when D.C. decides to bestow their
benevolence upon us. Sad.
