Planning meeting set for BBQ benefit

May 25, 2012
Well, the date is arriving soon. Next Friday, June 1, is our next meeting at the ambulance barn at 4:15 p.m. to continue to plan out the July 4 BBQ event to benefit stroke victim Mike Weland.

I wanted to let everyone know that the awesome flyers Renita did are ready. If you can come to the barn/office and pick some up, that would be great! If you need to meet me somewhere let me know.

We need to get some sort of account for how much of each kind of food we need to have on hand. I was thinking we could have small bags of chips, too. I am new at doing something this big, so if anyone has experience in being a vendor at the fairgrounds please speak up. I have been told there is a business willing to donate food ... I need to know who it might be!

There has been a medical savings account set up in Mike Weland’s name at our local Panhandle State Bank. Please spread the word.

Two ways to make donations:

1. Stop in and tell the clerk at Panhandle State Bank that you want the funds to go to “Mike Weland’s Medical Savings Account”

2. Mail your check or money order to Panhandle State Bank P.O. Box 1479 Bonners Ferry, ID 83805-1479 and memo the check “Mike Weland Medical Savings Account”

VERY IMPORTANT: People or businesses can also donate to the BBQ Benefit by sending their checks to the Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 441, Bonners Ferry, ID 883805, or stop by the office/barn.

Thanks everyone for your participation!
