School district to seek $1.4 million levy
|
November 14, 2012 |
At the last school board meeting last week, the
School District 101 Board of Trustees voted
unanimously to pass a resolution to put a
two-year, $1.4 million supplemental maintenance
and operations levy to voters on March 12, 2013.
In total, the levy will raise $2.8 million to
fund school operations, maintenance and salaries
from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2015.
In addition to the levy, voters will also be
asked to elect a trustee to the board for a
four-year term representing Zone 2, which serves
the Moyie Springs area, a position vacated by
Tim Bertling, who served for 11 years and is now
working in Metalline Falls, Washington.

How much was the levy the last time we voted it
in? Is this a little higher or about the same.
It seems like everyone wants more money, but the
tax payer is making less.
