School district to seek $1.4 million levy |
November 14, 2012 |
At the last school board meeting last week, the
School District 101 Board of Trustees voted
unanimously to pass a resolution to put a
two-year, $1.4 million supplemental maintenance
and operations levy to voters on March 12, 2013. In total, the levy will raise $2.8 million to fund school operations, maintenance and salaries from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2015. In addition to the levy, voters will also be asked to elect a trustee to the board for a four-year term representing Zone 2, which serves the Moyie Springs area, a position vacated by Tim Bertling, who served for 11 years and is now working in Metalline Falls, Washington. |
