Adam Hall qualifies for 2014 World Team

In his first tournament since his ACL knee
surgery last August, Adam Hall qualified for the
2014 World Team Trials at the Las Vegas/ASICS
U.S. Open wrestling tournament April 18-19.
The former Badger and Boise State Bronco
competed in the Mens freestyle division at 70 KG
weight. Hall scored a technical fall of Nestor
Taffur, Bound Brook Wrestling Club., 16-6, then
lost a close match to Hunter Stieber, Ohio,
Regional Training Center, 11-9.
Having to fight his way back to the medal round,
Hall scored tech falls against Steven Hernandez,
Bronco W.C. 13-2, Eleazar DeLuca, Clackamas
W.C., 11-0, and pinned Dan Vallimont, NYAC,
1:52.
Another close loss to Kyle Ruschell, NYAC, 8-5
set up a rematch with Stieber.
This time, Hall finished with a 10-3 win, and
seventh place.
Adam Hall is currently the Assistant Wrestling
Coach at Columbia University in New York City.
The 2014 World Team Trials for 70 KG will take
place at North Dakota State University in Fargo
on Thursday, July 24. |
