Lady Badgers lose heartbreaker

The Lady Badgers lost a heartbreaker to Lakeland
Thursday, 51-45.
Lakeland led by 11 points at the end of the
first half, 30-19, and stretched their lead to
17 in the third quarter before the Badgers
started climbing back.
The Badgers had a chance to
tie in the final minute, but couldn't quite pull
it off.
Desirae Minor led all scorers with 16 points and
11 rebounds.
"I was extremely proud of every girl in our
program as we played as hard as any set of teams
I have coached," coach Chris Chatburn said.
The Badger girls C team beat Lakeland 28-26,
with Grace Coughlin making the steal and score
to win it for. The JV squad lost a tough game
and are missing a couple of players due to
injury.
The loss puts the Lady Badgers at 0-2 on the
season and 0-0 in league.
They face the Libby Loggers at home Tuesday,
with the varsity hitting the boards at 5:30 p.m. |
