Lady Badgers end season

Districts ended for the Lady Badger volleyball
team on Thursday in Rathdrum against Kellogg in
a loser out game. The Badgers sadly lost in
three sets: 14-25, 18-25 and 22-25.
"We played somewhat flat and had a difficult
time creating any momentum," coach Janis Tucker
said. "The loss was a disappointment after a
well played match against Priest River on
Tuesday narrowly losing in five sets and a 3-0
victory against Timberlake on Wednesday night.
Hopefully, the girls don't focus on the final
outcome, but the 'process' of the entire season.
I am so proud of this team and how far they have
come this season. We came so close to both the
first and second place teams this season, had it
been another day, we maybe extending our season
another week instead of Priest River or Kellogg.
"State volleyball is held in Coeur d'Alene
November 1-2, and as much as we all hate losing
to teams from our league, we wish both teams
luck. I always cheer for the Intermountain
league teams, mainly due to the fact that if
they perform well at state, that says speaks
highly of our league."
Stat leaders in the final game were:
Kills - Camille Awbrey and Jasmine Hill, both
with 6.
Assists - Emma Kelly, 18.
Blocks - McKenzie MacDonald and Amanda Wilson, 2
each.
Aces - McKenzie MacDonald, 1.
Digs - Malorie Stippich, 8. |
