Badger boys chalk up first wins

After starting the season off 0 – 3, the Badger
baseball team got their first two wins of the
season last weekend beating LV Rogers of Nelson,
BC. 10-3 and 16-6.
In the first game, Junior Mat Kramer pitched
seven efficient innings and went three for three
at the plate to notch his first pitching victory
as a Badger. Seniors Jesse Woods went two for
three and Garrett Skeen went one for three with
a double.
In the second game, freshman Dylan Unruh took to
the mound to start the game and pitched
effectively for two innings. Junior Ben Neumeyer
and fellow freshman Vince Bennett came in relief
to secure a 16-6 victory in six innings.
The Badgers got eight hits led by Neumeyer with
two hits, including a double, and Unruh also hit
a two run double in the fourth inning.
The Badgers host their annual tournament this
Friday beginning at 11 a.m. The Badger baseball
team takes to the field at 4 p.m. against
Kellogg.
