Badger wrestlers fall to Libby

In their first dual meet of the season, the
Bonners Ferry Badgers wrestling team fell to a
dominating performance by the Libby Loggers,
61-24.
Only four Badgers won their matches, three by
pins and one by forfeit, while Libby wrestlers
logged seven pins on their way to victory.
Blaine Invernon, fighting at 140, put on the
most impressive Badger performance, pinning
Skylar Higareda in 28-seconds. In the
heavyweight bout, Badger Cody Lucky pinned Josh
McGough at 1:33, and at 119 Josh Tucker pinned
Logger Ian Edwards-Myslicki at 2:37.
The Badgers are fight in the St. Maries
Tournament this weekend; their next dual meet
and first league meet of the season comes
December 22, when they take on Kellogg. They
fight in their first home bouts December 18,
when they host Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene.
