Volleyball opportunities abound this summer |

Even though we're still waiting for that final
day of school and the start of summer vacation,
Badger head volleyball coach Janis Tucker is
encouraging players to "keep moving," and there
are several upcoming camps to ensure you're
moving in the right direction. For players going into grades 8-12 who prefer to stay close to home, there's the University of Idaho traveling individual camp taking place at Bonners Ferry High School July 9-10, with U of I coaching staff and players offering 14 hours of intense training and instruction, with sessions both days running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost of this camp is $85, which includes a camp T-shirt. The deadline for registering is June7. Younger players, those entering grades 4-8, can learn the basics and more at the Badger Jr. Volleyball Camp, hitting the high school gym fron 8:30 to 11 a.m. June 25-28. At this one Badger coaches and players will help the next generation of Badgers carry on the tradition of volleyball excellence. Cost for this camp is $45, which includes a camp T-shirt, and the deadline to register is June 20. For the avid volleyball player wanting to immerse themselves in the sport and get to know the U of I campus, there's the U of I Team Camp, four days and three nights dedicated to intense training and advanced skills, open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and running July 16 through 19 in Moscow. Cost of this camp, including room and board and a T-shirt, is $300; registration forms, which must be in by June 20 to ensure are available at each school or you can call coach Tucker at (208) 267-2044.
