Band with local roots Runaway Symphony
wows 'em at the Pearl
April 12, 2015
Runaway Symphony (is it really a Moscow band, or is it a Bonners Ferry band on temporary loan to Moscow?), returned to its muse roots--Boundary County--this past Saturday, April 11 for a performance at the Pearl Theater.

Once again, Runaway Symphony was well received, as the estimated crowd of approximately 150 people enthusiastically responded to the songs performed by the band. Several of those songs were based on life experiences and ponderings of lead vocalist and band lyricist Daniel Botkin, raised in the rural areas of Boundary County.

The band performed songs from their album Running South, currently available on iTunes (you can get there by clicking here), and other songs. They announced that their next album will be coming out soon, within a few months, as soon as the "finishing touches" are cleaned up and taken care of.

The audience at the Pearl seemed to enjoy and appreciate the band's performance, and predictably the performance of the group's song Bonners Ferry elicited the loudest cheers.

The evening's show was opened by Dillon Dietz, who performed several of his original compositions. Mr. Dietz also grew up in Boundary County, and played with the band at Bonners Ferry High School. His performance also impressed the audience at the Pearl.

As usual, the Pearl Theater had great pastries, treats, and refreshments available for the evening of music.

Runaway Symphony's next scheduled public performance is at the Royal Room in Seattle on May 8.
