January 21, 2014 |
A
junior who loves to sing and act, Samantha
Barradale is Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa
Gamma International Women Educators’ student of
the month for January. Recently performing in “Clue” and playing the lead in “The Wizard of Oz”, she puts her talents and enjoyment to practice. She participates in the honor and jazz choir and plays guitar. Samantha is a dual enrollment student who takes early American history and a physical education class, Zumba, through NIC. This semester and in the summer she will take psychology, early childhood development, and a science in that program. She is able to maintain a 3.5 grade average. In her senior year she will continue in the dual enrollment program and work toward an associate’s degree in fine arts through NIC. Her career goal is to perform and perhaps teach in that field. When not in school in summer Samantha enjoys hiking, reading, and playing with her dog. One of her favorite spots is the swinging bridge over the Kootenai. She is most appreciative of her mother, who she can talk to about everything, and her father, who helps her with her voice development and singing. Her parents, Janet and Trig Aos, have made the greatest influence in her life, according to this confident and straightforward young woman. |
