Ruth Virginia Meadows passed away on October 30,
2014 at Ace Elder Care in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Services to be announced.
Ruth was born on December 1, 1921 in Chicago,
Illinois to Stanley and Elsie
(Hall) Lind. The family moved to Santa Monica,
California when Ruth was three years old. Ruth
was a high school graduate at Los Angeles High
School and of Sawyer Business College.
In 1943 she enlisted in the Navy as a WAVE, and
served in the Naval Air Priorities Office in San
Francisco during World War II.
She married Vance W. Meadows who passed away
April 24, 1984. Ruth was a “Mover and Shaker" in
the marketing business world in Century City,
California. Her favorite charity was the Motion
Pictures Mothers Organization in Hollywood. They
assisted in raising funds for the motion picture
country home where celebrities had fallen on
hard times. Ruth became their Vice President and
Board Member. Ruth’s children, Vance T. Meadows
and Nancy L. Meadows, were entrenched in the
entertainment field as child actors and
professional singer. Vance T. Meadows died in
New Mexico on May 19, 1986.
Ruth loved her family and believed in a positive
thinking attitude. She was one of a kind, and
never was domestic. She burned all food and
never sewed on a button, but she was the life of
a party even at 93.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L.
Meadows Langley; granddaughter, Jenny Lind Tough
Dugan; grandson, Mike Meadows; great
grandchildren Adrienne Pearl Krusynsky; Owen
Michell Boyd; Avery Lynn Dugan; and Van McClain
Meadows. |
