A Washington man was killed in a tragic freak
accident this afternoon on Highway 95 near
Sagle. According to Idaho State Police, Charles
Jungblom, 70, Davenport, was killed when another
vehicle hit a deer, launching into the
windshield of the vehicle Junblom was riding in.
Troopers say David Bannister, 68, Sagle, was
driving a 2012 Subaru Outback north on Highway
95 at about 4:59 p.m. when he hit a deer near
mile 466. The impact launched the deer into the
southbound lane and into the path of a 2008
Chrysler Town and Country van, driven by Arliene
Jungblom, 70, Davenport, Washington.
The deer went through the windshield on the
passenger side, hitting Charles Jungblom, who
was pronounced dead at the scene. All involved
were wearing seatbelts. |
