Grizzly gates to be opened for season soon |
November 2, 2017 |
The Idaho Panhandle National Forests will be
reopening several forest gates in grizzly bear
management units in coming weeks. Gates should
open, depending on weather conditions and
available personnel, November 16 in the Selkirk
Mountains and December 1 in the Purcell and
Cabinet Mountains.
Members of the public traveling on national
forest system lands are advised to obtain a free
Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) at any Forest
Service Ranger District headquarters.
Roads that will be opened are displayed on the
MVUM. For specific questions on scheduled gate
openings, please contact the applicable ranger
district. In Boundary County, call (208)
267-5561. |
