Road work to close I-90 Exit 14 in CdA |

During the week of July 9, crews will work in
the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 from 9th
Street to Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene.
During this phase, The 15th Street (Exit 14)
I-90 eastbound on- and off-ramps will be closed.
Work on the project will include the
reconstruction of the Exit 14 eastbound I-90 on-
and off-ramps. Active project work will occur
during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday.
Motorists should anticipate increased travel
times, speed reductions and lane shifts.
Between 9th and Sherman, I-90 will be reduced to
one lane in each direction within the westbound
portions of the freeway. Work zone crossovers
will be in effect for I-90 eastbound on- and
off-ramps at Sherman Avenue (Exit 15). The work
zone speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph and
travel way lane widths will be reduced to 11
feet, with 15 feet of clear passage.
The 15th Street (Exit 14) I-90 eastbound on- and
off-ramps will close from 10 p.m. Sunday, July
9, to 2 p.m. Friday, July 14.The U.S. 95 (Exit
12), 4th Street (Exit 13), and
Sherman Ave. (Exit 15) ramps will not be
affected and are available for use as
alternative routes.
Interstate Concrete & Asphalt of Rathdrum is
performing this $19.8 million Idaho
Transportation Department project. Work is
scheduled to occur through October 2018. This
project will resurface Interstate 90, increase
height clearances between the travel way of I-90
and the numerous overpasses that exist
throughout the corridor, and improve traveler
safety with new guardrail, signs, and
illumination. |
