Team category added to Kootenai River Run 2017 |

This year the Kootenai River Run is adding a
team category for the 5K run, with winners to be
determined by the combined times of the five
team members. This in addition to the regular
gender and age categories as in years past that
have made the Kootenai River Run, coming up
Saturday, July 1, one of the Northwest's premier
fun runs. The top male and female finisher in each run will be presented a trophy. Ribbons will be given to the top three finishers in each of the male and female age groups from 0-11 years to 70-plus years. Door prize drawings will be held during the award ceremony, including the grand prize is a $100 gift certificate towards the purchase of a new pair of running shoes. The 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) races begin and end at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. Aid stations and entertainment are positioned throughout the course as it winds its way along the beautiful Kootenai River and through town. Entry fee is $25 ($33 Canadian) with a T-shirt or $10 ($13 Canadian) without the t-shirt. A limited number of extra shirts are available on race day. Participants can register from 7:30-8:45 a.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds on race day, without a late fee. The race starts at 9 a.m. The run is sanctioned by USA Track and Field and is sponsored by Northwest Academy, Boulder Creek Academy and Idaho Forest Group.
