May 6, 2017 |
The Boundary County Historical Society & Museum
received a bow and arrow today that belonged to
Simon Francis - “White Otter” - who was a member
of the Kootenai Tribe. Simon said he was born on
May 7, 1891, in the Kootenai Valley.
He passed away on July 4, 1972. He was laid to
rest in the Mission Cemetery.
Thanks go out to the Brant Family, for this
wonderful donation to the Museum!
The bow and arrow will soon go on display along
with all the other great exhibits at the
Boundary County Historical Society & Museum,
7229 Main Street, Bonners Ferry.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday through Saturday, admission is $2 per
visitor or $5 per family. Boundary County
Historical Society members and children 14 and
