Boundary County Parks & Rec
Many people are confused with the Fairgrounds
and Parks and Rec. I have been trying for years
to let people know the difference.
The Fairgrounds consist of the barns and the
three buildings (Memorial Hall, Exhibit Hall and
the VEC) behind the covered slab and the Outdoor
arena. The Fairgrounds does NOT include any
grass. And the fair office is attached to the
Valley Event Center (VEC), which is the dining
hall.
Parks and Rec consist of all the grass, the
covered slab, playground, the ball fields,
tennis courts, skateboard park and the ball
fields and park across the river. The Parks and
Rec office is by the skateboard park, it's in
the big brown shop.
In the appropriate lexicon, the park next to the
fairgrounds is Memorial Park and the one across
the river is Rivers Park.
If you have any questions regarding Parks and
Rec please call me at (208) 304-3603. If you
have questions regarding the fairgrounds please
