Boundary County Middle School eighth grader
Emmet Melior, the son of Larry Melior and Jessie
Stewart, Bonners Ferry, was one of 73 students
to make the trek to the Idaho State National
Geographic Bee March 31 in Rexburg, made it into
the final 10, and finished the event fourth

In doing so, he represented not only Bonners
Ferry well, but all of North Idaho.

final time, and he will represent the state once
again in the national finals in Washington, D.C.
in May.
Also going in to the top ten were Jena Lathen,

Boise, Eric DeHaas, Meridian, Zachary Burnett,
Preston, Ethan Dreher, Kuna, Trey Woolem, Boise,
and Jarett Olar, Challis.
"We are very proud of him," his mother said,
"and we thank you all for your well wishes and
