We all rallied as a community to dig out, and our efforts are paying off. Spring break is only a week away, but we have a lot going at the high school before then. We have Mr. BFHS and Senior Project Presentations happening this Friday, March 24. We are all ready to see the seniors check one more box on the graduation list. They have worked hard, and they will shortly realize how quickly graduation will be upon us. Our Leadership Students’ honoring of March Madness will see its final dodgeball game on Thursday, March 30. Donkey Basketball is also making its way back to town at 6 p.m. that evening, and to round out our night of festivities before Spring Break, there will be the Coeurimba Youth Marimba Ensemble at 6:30 p.m. in Becker Auditorium. Come join us for a night of fun at BFHS! Not only is the lead up to Spring Break busy, but our students and staff are busy over the break as well. Robotics and band students will be making separate trips to Canada over break. Thanks to the hard work of Jessica Hanna and David Nix, I know some students will be able to participate in both Robotics and band. We also have FFA going to state during the week off, and I trust that Julie Smith and the FFA students will do a great job representing BFHS on their trip. I am excited to see the snow receding and exposing some grass. I know there was a collective howl from the baseball team as they carried buckets of balls and their equipment to the soccer field Monday, March 21, to get out of the gym. It is safe to say the softball, track and golf athletes and coaches are just as excited to see the grass peeking out. The energy at BFHS will continue to mimic the environment as we move closer to graduation, so I ask you to come be a part of it before the school year is over. If you miss out, we will have another opportunity next year to watch the energy in our building grow with spring, but, as winter reminded us, no year or graduating class is ever the same. |
