Suspect in deputy shooting moved to jail |
January 24, 2017 |
Adam Deacon Foster, 30, was released earlier
today from Kootenai Health after being wounded
January 16 in a shootout with three Bonner
County Sheriff's deputies who were attempting to
serve an arrest warrant on him at his home in
Blanchard.
Foster was transported to the Kootenai County
Public Safety Building where he is being held on
a warrant of detention; he is scheduled for a
first appearance in court at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Interviews of the involved officers, deputies
Michael Gagnon and Justin Penn, who were both
hit three times and released earlier from
Kootenai Health, and William Craffey, who was
not injured, started
today.
Due to the investigation still being underway,
no new charges have been filed against Foster at
this time.
All three deputies involved are on
administrative leave pending the outcome of this
investigation. Information will be released as
quickly as the investigative
process allows. |
