January 23, 2017 |
Michael N. Meier was named Boundary County
Director of Emergency Management by county
commissioners today, taking the place of
long-time director Dave Kramer, who is now
sheriff.
Meier has been the County Public Information
Officer for several years and he brings eleven
years of law enforcement experience and a
background in emergency management.
He was the Section Emergency Coordinator for the
state for five years prior to accepting this
position. He is also a graduate with an advanced
certificate from the National Emergency
Management Institute in Maryland, and he served
with United States Air Force 27th Combat Special
Ops in Vietnam.
Mr. Meier feels Boundary County is the best
place on earth and he's anxious to serve and
help our local community.
“I look forward to working with all agencies
within the County, and will always be available
to the public,” he said. |
