KCSO offering active shooter class |

On January 28, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s
Office will be offering a free 2 1/2 hour
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class
at our Volunteer Search & Rescue (VSAR) building
for any citizen who would like to attend.
This class will consist of information on
Disaster Response Psychology, how to increase
your chances of surviving an Active Shooter
Event (Avoid, Deny, and Defend), several past
Active Shooter cases, and case study of the
Active Shooter Virginia Tech case.
The class begins at 10 a.m. in the VSAR
building, N10865 Ramsey Road, Hayden. Class size
is limited a pre-registration is required. To
reserve a seat, please call Community Service
