The National Weather Service has issued a wind
chill advisory for bitter cold, in effect from
11 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the
single digits over the region late tonight, and
northeast winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour will
make it feel like it's as cold as 15-below. The
strongest winds, gusting to 25 miles per hour,
are expected to occur between Sandpoint an Coeur
d'Alene and in Washington's Columbia Basin.
Those going outdoors should be sure to bundle up
well as frostbite and hypothermia can occur
quickly. |
