Man arrested for disturbance at Naples School |

On November 21 at about 8:15 a.m., Naples
Elementary School contacted the Sheriff’s Office
to report that they had placed the school on
lock down due to an intruder being on the school
grounds.
The subject was acting upset and was
argumentative with the school staff and refused
to leave when asked.
The school was already in session and a decision
was made by the school staff to place the school
on lock down.
No direct threat was reported and no students
were involved with the incident.
Members of the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office,
Bonners Ferry Police Department and the Kootenai
Tribal Police responded to the school. After
searching the school grounds, officers confirmed
that the school was secure and that there was no
immediate threat.
The subject was located approximately a half
mile away along Deep Creek Loop. Simon Beggerly,
33, Bonners Ferry, was arrested for trespassing
and transported to the Boundary County Jail.
