Festival of Trees becomes Festival of Hearts |
November 18, 2016 |
“When is the Festival of Trees this year?” is a
question heard around Bonners Ferry recently.
After 20 successful years, the Fry Healthcare
Foundation has decided to change their major
fundraising event from December to February.
The Foundation Board of Directors announced that
the next event will be the Festival of Hearts on
February 11, 2017, at the Kootenai River Inn.
The evening will feature a sit-down dinner with
a dessert and a live auction followed by
dancing. It will be a true gala event to raise
funds for a Spacelabs Healthcare Cardiac
Monitoring Central Station Control System for
the Acute Care and Emergency Departments at
Boundary Community Hospital.
Joining the Fry Healthcare Foundation Board of
Directors is long-time supporter and Golf
Tournament sponsor, Elaine Morgan. She brings
enthusiasm and fund-raising savvy to the
position and will be a great asset to the team.
“I want to promote the image of the Hospital as
a caring healthcare facility with
state-of-the-art equipment where quality patient
care is the highest priority," she said. "I’m
looking forward to working on the Festival of
Hearts as my first event as a board member.”
The Fry Healthcare Foundation and our community
have raised over $1-million to benefit the
hospital over the past 20 years. The Festival of
Hearts in February 2017 will be the start of a
new tradition.
Thank you to the community for your continued
support of the Foundation and its fundraising
efforts on behalf of Boundary Community
Hospital.
