The successful grand opening and continued
momentum of a new Bonners Ferry location has put
Pro X Home Center in exclusive company within
the home improvement industry. The recent
expansion has transformed the business from a
small-town lumber yard into a major regional
center for do-it-yourselfers and contractors
alike.
In addition to being locally owned since 2004,
Pro X Home Center is a member-owner of Do it
Best Corp., a $3 billion US-based hardware,
lumber and building materials co-op with
thousands of members across the United States
and 52 other countries.
Do it Best Corp. featured Pro X and its new
location in the co-op’s recently published 2016
annual report, one of only seven members from
around the world to be featured. Specifically,
the co-op featured Pro X Home Center for its
beautiful and expansive location and the success
it’s created for owners Jeff (pictured above)
and Yolanda Brubaker.
“The all-new Pro X Home Center is not just an
achievement for our family, but an
accomplishment for our entire community
throughout northern Idaho and stretching into
Canada,” Jeff Brubaker said. “The customer
response has been overwhelming. Our company has
come a long way since its humble beginnings, but
now we’re able to offer so much more than we
could have ever imagined.”
Pro X began in 2004 as a home-based business
building carports. As they brought in roofing
and lumber supplies necessary for the business,
contractors began asking them to stock
additional supplies. They eventually moved to a
facility that had a choppy interior and limited
retail space.
As the company continued to grow, so too did the
need for a larger, purpose-built facility. They
acquired adjacent property to create the space
necessary for the new home center and repurposed
the previous building as a home décor showroom.
Pro X Home Center is located at 510374 US-95 in
Bonners Ferry, and offers a full range of
hardware products and services. For more
