President Barack Obama has issued a proclamation
requesting that flags of the United States be
flown at half-staff in respect for former First
Lady Nancy Reagan. Ms. Reagan died yesterday at her home in Los Angeles at age 94, with cause of death given as congestive heart failure. The presidential proclamation requests that flags be flown at half-staff beginning today, March 7, and continue at half-staff until sundown of the day of burial. At this time, specific dates and details of the funeral and burial have not been announced, although officials at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California have announced that she will be buried next to her husband, President Ronald Reagan, later this week on the grounds of the Library.
