Get your diploma at the Beef School agricultural
seminar |

Time to enroll in Beef School.
The University of Idaho Extension and the
Bonner-Boundary Cattle Association are hosting a
“Beef School” this Saturday, February 6, at the
Ponderay Elks Lodge, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Along with cattle ranchers and owners, this
school may be of interest to businesses with a
cattle or ranching focus, to university
students, and also 4-H and FFA members (and
students may attend for free).
Presentations include bull selection and
management to improve longevity, fertilizing for
forage production including soil testing and
fertilizer rates, cattle market update including
prices, returns, and the economic outlook for
beef production, and pros and cons of
alternative pregnancy testing methods.
Presentations in this seminar include faculty
from the University of Idaho, Boundary County's
University of Idaho Extension Educator, and a
veterinarian.
A $15 fee covers refreshments and lunch. Please

The Bonner-Boundary Cattle Association works
toward public education and promotion of beef
cattle agriculture in Idaho, and promotes public
service and responsibility throughout the
agricultural industry.
The Ponderay Elks Lodge where the seminar will
be presented is located on Highway 200 East,
about a mile east of the Highway 200 / Highway
95 junction. |
