Time to enroll in Beef School.

The University of Idaho Extension and the Bonner-Boundary Cattle Association are hosting a “Beef School” this Saturday, February 6, at the Ponderay Elks Lodge, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Along with cattle ranchers and owners, this school may be of interest to businesses with a cattle or ranching focus, to university students, and also 4-H and FFA members (and students may attend for free).

Presentations include bull selection and management to improve longevity, fertilizing for forage production including soil testing and fertilizer rates, cattle market update including prices, returns, and the economic outlook for beef production, and pros and cons of alternative pregnancy testing methods.

Presentations in this seminar include faculty from the University of Idaho, Boundary County's University of Idaho Extension Educator, and a veterinarian.

A $15 fee covers refreshments and lunch. Please pre-register by calling Jack Filipowski at 208-263-7264. Fees collected at the door. There is no charge for students. More information is available by taking a look at this flyer: http://tinyurl.com/2016AgSeminarBeefSchool.
