The on again / off again chip seal resurfacing
of Highway 95 is now--ON again (begins tomorrow) |

Crews will chip seal a six-mile section of U.S.
Highway 95 through Athol, in the Garwood to
Sagle corridor, starting Thursday, August 20,
the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The work is expected to finish in early
September. Work from milepost 447 to milepost 453 on Highway 954 will proceed starting first with the frontage roads, then followed by the main U.S. 95 route. When work shifts to the main route, crews will first work in the northbound lanes of Highway 95 During this resurfacing project, speeds will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone, with flaggers and pilot cars on hand to guide traffic. Crews also will seal coat a 1.5-mile stretch of Idaho 54 from just west of the Blair Castle Road intersection to the intersection of Howard Road and Idaho 54. Work will progress from eastbound to westbound. Snake River Contractors, of Twin Falls, is the contractor on this work, which is within the overall $27.5 million Garwood-to-Sagle project. |
