Rainy weather intervened to move the graduation
ceremony for the Bonners Ferry High School Class
of 2015 from its scheduled outdoor location to
the indoor location of the Middle School
gymnasium. However, the spirit and excitement of
the graduates and of their graduation program
was not dampened.
One hundred and one seniors graduated in the
ceremony held last Saturday, May 30.
 The ceremony was conducted by BFHS Principal Tim
Gering, who had the unique honor during the
ceremony of introducing his own daughters, one
of whom graduated as class Salutatorian, and one
as Valedictorian.
"It is my sincere wish," said Mr. Gering in
addressing the class, "that here at Bonners
Ferry High School, you have been given the tools
and the knowledge to choose wisely.
"And if I may speak for all parents today, it is
my goal that I have instilled in you the
integrity, the ability, and the courage to make
wise choices."
The graduation ceremony opened with the
processional performed by the Bonners Ferry High
School band, as the Graduates of the Class of
2015 entered the room and took their seats. The
band then played the national anthem.
Addresses were delivered by Chase Dinning,
Senior Class President, and by Salutatorians
Hannah Gering and Savannah Woods, and
Valedictorians Chloe Gering, Kimberly Kramer,
Jacob Perkins, and Mackenzie Mendenhall.

Craig Anderson, a teacher on the faculty of the
Bonners Ferry High School, was the guest speaker
for the event.
