Boundary County Memorial Day, 2015:
Stories and photos (and a video)
May 27, 2015
The day started off cloudy and a little rainy, but by the time the Boundary County Memorial Day Parade 2015 rolled down Main Street in Bonners Ferry, the weather was holding for a great parade. The parade was followed by a special Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony held at Grandview Cemetery.

The parade featured veterans, Scouts, 4-H clubs, tractors, big trucks, antique automobiles, horses, our local Distinguished Young Women, and others. Hundreds of people lined the sidewalks downtown to enjoy the parade.

At Grandview Cemetery following the parade, a special ceremony was held remembering and paying tribute to veterans. Brief addresses were delivered by Jonathan Snyder of the Boy Scouts, Distinguished Young Woman 2015 Shaleyna Higgins, and by former Bonners Ferry Chief of Police Robert Boone. The names of Boundary County veterans who have passed away during the past year were read aloud. The ceremony ended with a 21-gun salute.
