Bonners Ferry High School would like to
congratulate Judy Wages for being selected as
the certified employee of the month.
After high school, Mrs. Wages started her
college career like many other students from
BFHS. She attended North Idaho College and the
University of Idaho for a
couple of years. From there she attended the
University of Washington in Seattle, where she
earned her Bachelor’s degree, teaching
certificate, and Master’s degree.
Mrs. Wages had the privilege of being a Lab
Assistant for a Human Anatomy class while in
college at the University of Idaho. It was in
that lab she discovered her love of teaching.
She began teaching in the Seattle area in 1991.
She taught there for 3 years, then returned to
Bonners Ferry to teach biology at Rocky Mountain
Academy. In 1997 she started teaching at Bonners
Ferry High School.
Mrs. Wages says her family is wonderful! Many of
her immediate family and her husband’s family
live right here in Bonners Ferry. Her husband is
a builder and she is blessed with two daughters,
Belle and Lauren. Belle attends the University
of Idaho, and Lauren will be a junior at BFHS
next fall. In her spare time, Mrs. Wages enjoys
traveling, reading, music, cooking and being
with her family.
There are two things Mrs. Wages would like to
advise her students. The first is to not be
afraid of working hard in all that you do.
Second, be very careful in your decision making,
and keep your options open. Many people make
decisions that close future doors--doors they
may not even realize exist.
Bonners Ferry High School is proud to have such
a dedicated science teacher. Always remember:
SCIENCE ROCKS! |
