Landowners can learn forest management at coming Field Day |

Family forest landowners have a unique
opportunity to spend a day in the woods with
natural resource experts at the Idaho-Washington
Forest Owners Field Day on June 21. Classes and activities will include topics on forest health, wildlife habitat, soils, fire protection, tree and shrub identification, native plants, weeds, timber and non-timber products. The educational event is packed with practical information for any woodland owner large or small. Forest owners are encouraged to join the more than 10,500 satisfied families who already have experienced Field Day. The Field Day is held in Newport, Washington, at Horseman Hills Farm, 38305 North Starr Road. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, and will end at aroundd 4 p.m. (Gates to the area will be open at 8:00 a.m.). Cost of individual registration is $20 each. Registration for a family is $30. Barbecue lunches are $10 each.
