John began his teaching career at Kyrene School
District in Tempe, Arizona, where he taught
Physical Education, Health, and Science. In
1990, he accepted a teaching position in
Boundary County. "Our students have enjoyed this
physical education teacher and leader for 24
years of his 31 year career, and the ball is
still rolling," said principal Pflueger.One of John’s favorite sayings with the students is, “Our bodies are made to move, so let’s get moving!” John truly enjoys watching the kids have fun while they are in motion. The hardest part is motivating all students to move beyond their comfort zone.
John Beck, a graduate of Northern Arizona University, is married to another teacher, Doreen Beck, who is an excellent teacher in her own right.
